Frequently asked questions
If there is something you cannot find an answer to, message us on WhatsApp and we will reply the same day.
How do I book?
There is no instant booking on the site. You choose your dates and the number of guests and send a request. We confirm availability and get back to you the same day. Once we agree, the booking is confirmed.
Do you take payment through the site?
No. There is no card or payment step on the site. You arrange payment directly with the owner.
Who runs the houses?
All nine units are run by one family, directly. Cleaning, maintenance, welcoming guests — all of it is ours. There is no agency, no call centre and no separate owners in between. You know who we are and who you are talking to.
What is the minimum stay?
Two nights in all the houses.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in 15:00, check-out 11:00.
Is there a charge for extra guests?
Each house has a standard capacity. Every guest above that adds €20 per night. The calculator on the house page shows this automatically.
Do you accept pets?
Yes, up to 8 kg. An additional cleaning fee applies per stay: €100 in the villas, €80 in the apartments. This covers the extended cleaning we carry out after check-out — deep cleaning of textiles and upholstery, bed linen washed separately, hair and allergen removal. It is charged once per stay, not per night. Medium and large breeds cannot be accommodated.
Do you charge a cleaning fee?
No. The departure clean is included in the price and no separate fee applies. The only exception is stays with pets, where a separate fee covers the extended clean.
Are towels and bed linen provided?
Yes. Bed linen and bath towels are included in every home. Pool towels are provided at the villas with a pool.
How do I use a discount coupon?
You leave your email address on the coupon page and receive your code. Enter the code in the coupon field on the house page and 10% comes off the total. Valid for stays of at least 2 nights; discounts cannot be combined.
What are the outdoor areas of the villas like?
Each villa has its own private pool and its own private garden; nothing is shared with another villa. The villas are not identical — features such as the jacuzzi, sauna and heated pool differ from villa to villa. What each villa has is listed on its own page.
How do I get here from the airport?
The nearest airport is Dalaman. It is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to the villas in Hisarönü and 1 hour 15 minutes to the apartments in Marmaris. We do not offer a transfer service.
Can I smoke indoors?
No, there is no smoking indoors. It is permitted in the gardens and on the balconies.
How many houses are there?
Nine in total: 3 villas in Hisarönü and 6 apartments in Marmaris.
Is there a villa in Marmaris open in winter?
Yes. AliBabaHomes is open all year. Villa Portakal's pool is heated and can be covered; we have had guests swimming in December. Most holiday homes in Marmaris close at the end of October, so winter options are limited.
Which villa has the heated pool?
Villa Portakal. Alongside the heated private pool there is a separate children's pool. Villa Kaktüs has a jacuzzi and sauna; Villa Zeytin's pool is not heated.
Is there a house within walking distance of the sea?
Yes. The six apartments in Marmaris are a three-minute walk from the sea and a minute from the shop. Central Marmaris is five minutes away. The villas in Hisarönü are five minutes from the shore, though driving is more comfortable.
How much does it cost to rent a villa in Marmaris?
With us the villas are €500–700 per night and the apartments €250–375. Prices can vary by season; the exact figure is confirmed after your booking request. The prices shown here include no agency commission.
How many guests do the houses sleep?
The smallest sleeps 5 (Villa Zeytin) and the largest 9 (Daire Z1 and Z2). Villa Kaktüs sleeps 8, Villa Portakal 6, and the four two-bedroom apartments sleep 6 each. Groups travelling together can be given adjacent apartments.
Are the houses suitable for families with children?
Yes. A cot and a high chair are provided on request. Villa Portakal has a separate children's pool. The ground-floor apartments Z1 and Z2 have no stairs. Most of our guests are families with children.
Do I need to rent a car?
Not for the apartments in Marmaris — the beach, shops, restaurants and the centre are all within walking distance. At the villas in Hisarönü the shop and restaurants are a five-minute walk, but we recommend a car for reaching the centre and the surrounding bays. There is parking at both locations.
Are there daily rental apartments in Marmaris?
Yes. All six of our apartments in Marmaris can be rented by the day; the minimum stay is 2 nights. All are a three-minute walk from the sea, with the market and shops within walking distance. We offer the same houses for daily, weekly and longer stays — we are not a hotel; each apartment is a fully equipped home.
Can I find a daily rental villa in Marmaris?
You can. All three of our villas in Hisarönü are available by the day. Each villa has its own private pool and its own private garden; nothing is shared with the neighbouring villa. Demand is high in summer, so we recommend asking about dates early.
I want to rent a villa with a private pool in Marmaris — which one suits?
All three villas have a private pool. Villa Kaktüs sleeps up to 8 and is the largest, with a jacuzzi and sauna. Villa Portakal has a heated pool and a separate children's pool — swimming in winter too. Villa Zeytin is for couples and small families, in the quietest corner.
What is the difference between renting a house in Marmaris and a hotel?
In a hotel you have a room; with us the whole house is yours. A kitchen, a washing machine, separate bedrooms, and at the villas your own pool and garden. For larger families and longer stays it is both more comfortable and more economical per person.
Is there accommodation right by the sea or close to it?
The six apartments in Marmaris are a three-minute walk from the sea. The villas in Hisarönü are a five-minute walk from the shore; the bay is sheltered from the wind so the water is usually calm, good for kayaking and boat trips.
Do you offer weekly or monthly rentals?
We do. For longer stays we discuss the price — if you are staying more than a week, message us on WhatsApp and we will quote based on your dates and length of stay.
Which area of Marmaris should I stay in?
If you want the shops, the beach and the nightlife within walking distance, our apartments in Marmaris. If you want to be away from the crowds with your own pool and a quiet holiday, our villas in Hisarönü. There are 20 minutes by car between the two.
Is a deposit or advance payment required to book?
No payment is taken through the site. You send your request, we confirm availability and settle the price, then we discuss payment directly. Filling in the form commits you to nothing.
Hisarönü or central Marmaris — which is better?
If you want nature, a pool and quiet, Hisarönü. If you want to walk to the beach and the centre and holiday without a car, Marmaris. Hisarönü is 20 minutes from the centre, Marmaris five.
